If pizza night needs to be spiced up, try this white sauce pizza to give it a little flair. The sauce is homemade with heavy cream, butter, and Asiago cheese, giving it a creamy flavor.
Preheat oven and baking stone, if using one, to 400 degrees. This can also be cooked on an oven wire rack. Roll slices of turkey, slice into 1 /2 inch chunks, and place in a small bowl. Shred smoked mozzarella and mix into turkey chunks and set aside. Clean and thinly slice green pepper then set aside. In a small sauce pan melt butter. When melted add heavy cream and cook until warm. Add Asiago cheese and cook another 5 minutes. Brush pizza top with olive oil. Remove sauce from heat and using half, cover pizza crust. Add mozzarella and turkey mixture and top with remaining Alfredo sauce. Scatter green pepper on top and add grated fresh pepper on top to taste. Reduce oven temperature to 375 degrees. Place in oven and cook until cheese melts and bubbles about 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool slightly before slicing.
Notes:
This white pizza has a lot of flavor from smoked cheese, turkey and Alfredo type sauce. The green peppers add a wonderful color and crunch. An exciting change from red sauce pizza.
