Bacon Cheese Pastry Appetizers

A lovely puff pastry married happily to old cheddar and bacon is baked to perfection making this a delightful and tasty comforting appetizer.
 

Ingredients

  • 8 slices partly cooked lean bacon
  • 8 pieces puff pastry, 3 oz size
  • 16 thin slices old cheddar cheese

Method

Roll dough between palms of hands to form a cigar shape. Place one piece of cheddar at either end, pressing down to hug pastry. Leave middle space of pastry open and place one piece of bacon on top of cheese. Fold package in half, sandwich style, and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
