Baked Ham-Stuffed Mushrooms

Tasty stuffed mushroom appetizers made with ham, green onion, and parmesan cheese. Great for brunch or cocktail parties.
Ingredients
- 24 Fresh mushrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 in diameter
- 1/4 Cup chopped green onion
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon dried savory, crushed
- 2 Tablespoons dry white wine
- 1/2 Cup ham, finely chopped
- 2 Tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 Cup fine dry bread crumbs

Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash mushrooms; drain. Remove stems from mushrooms; reserve caps. Chop stems to make 1 cup. Cook shopped stems and green onion in butter just till tender. Stir in flour, savory, 1/8 tsp. pepper; add wine and 2 Tbls. Water. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly; stir in ham and Parmesan. Fill mushroom caps with ham mixture. Top with bread crumbs. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
