Bread Sticks

The yeast dough for these breadsticks is rolled out, cut into strips, then coated with butter and sprinkled with garlic powder, seasoning salt, parmesan cheese, and sesame seeds.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope active dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 stick butter
  • Garlic powder, seasoning salt, parmesan cheese, and sesame seeds

Method

Dissolve yeast and sugar in water. Combine and gradually add flour and salt. Knead. Roll out & cut with pizza cutter into 3/4 inch strips. Melt butter; pour into a jelly roll pan. Dip both sides of strips in butter to coat; arrange in pan. Sprinkle with garlic powder, seasoning salt, parmesan cheese and sesame seeds. Let rise. Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes.
