Candice's Fried Green Tomatoes

Tomatoes with a slightly spicy breading, fried crisp and served with Vidalia onion dressing.
Ingredients
- Coating:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Tomatoes:
- 1 cup flour
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 4 large green tomatoes, cut into THICK slices
- Vegetable oil
- Store bought Vidalia onion vinegarette salad dressing for dipping (optional)

Method
Heat Vegetable oil in cast iron skillet to 350 degrees. Blend all ingredients for the coating together into shallow dish and set aside. Place flour into shallow dish. Place beaten eggs into another shallow dish. Lightly dust tomatoes in flour then dip each tomato into eggs, then dip the tomato into the coating mixture. Fry at 350 degrees until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with Vidalia onion dressing.
