An easy-to-make appetizer cheese spread with pecans and accompanied with strawberry jam.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (16 ouonces) grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1/4 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1 (8 oz) jar strawberry jam

Method

Combine cheese, mayonnaise, pecans, onion and seasonings, blending well. Shape into a ring on serving plate. Spoon the jam into center of ring. Chill for 2-3 hours. Serve with round buttery crackers.
