Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

These appetizers are a rich mixture of cream cheese, parmesan and Monterey Jack, that is spooned into mushroom caps and baked until warm.
 

Ingredients

  • 35-40 large button mushrooms
  • 2 pkgs cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Garlic powder (to taste)

Method

Wash mushrooms and remove stems. In a bowl, mix together cheeses and garlic powder. Spoon a rounded teaspoon of mixture into mushrooms. Place in oven at 350 degrees. Cover loosely with foil about 15 minutes. Remove and let cool for a couple of minutes. Serve warm.
