Chili Cheese Melts

A cheesy mixture of shredded Jack, butter, mayonnaise and green chilies is spread on thin baguette slices and broiled.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cube or stick butter (1/2 cup), softened
  • 1 4-oz can diced green chilies, drained
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 lb Monterey Jack cheese, grated
  • 1 French baguette loaf, thinly sliced

Method

In medium bowl, mix all ingredients except bread. Spread mixture evenly on bread slices. Place on a cookie sheet and broil until bubbly and lightly toasted.

 

Notes: This is my most requested recipe for a party. It is yummy.
