Cinnamon Glazed Almonds

Crunchy almonds with a sweet crust that is perfect for party snack bowl.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup(s) butter or margarine
  • 2 egg whites, room temperature
  • 1 pinch(s) salt
  • 1 cup(s) sugar
  • 3 cup(s) whole almonds
  • 4 teaspoon(s) cinnamon

Method

Preheat oven to 325. Place butter in 15x10" jelly roll pan; place in oven to melt, about 7 minutes. Meanwhile, beat egg whites with salt until frothy; gradually adding sugar and beating to stiff peaks. Gently fold in almonds and cinnamon. Pour almond mixture onto jelly roll pan; toss with butter. Bake about 40 minutes; tossing every 10 minutes, until almonds are crisp. Serve warm or at room temperature. Store cooled almonds in airtight container up to 2 weeks.
