This quick and easy recipe spread cream cheese over a large plate, and tops it with cocktail sauce and your choice of crabmeat or shrimp. It's served as a spread for crackers.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese (may use lite and/or spreadable)
  • Shrimp Cocktail Sauce or Chili Sauce
  • 1/2 to 1 cup of crab meat (you may also use imitation crab meat or baby shrimp)
  • Crackers

Method

On a nice plate with an edge, spread cream cheese over plate to cover it with about 1/4" of cream cheese. Pour and spread out Cocktail Sauce to cover. Shred or chop Crabmeat over the entire thing. Chill. Serve with crackers.

Notes: Serve with crackers. Can be made up ahead of time (and chilled) or spur of the moment. The number of servings can depend upon how big of a plate you use. I use a 10" plate for the 8 oz. of cream cheese.

Number of Servings: 4-6
