Crabby Coleslaw

This coleslaw is the perfect side dish to your summertime barbeque.
 

Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 16 oz chopped cabbage
  • 16 oz imitation chunked crab meat
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • Dressing:
  • 1 cup fat free salad dressing
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 4 tbsp skim milk
  • 1 tsp sugar or sugar substitute

Method

Combine cabbage, imitation crab, peas and onions in a bowl. Combine dressing ingredients, mix well, and pour over cabbage mixture.

 

Notes: This recipe can be used well in a tortilla wrap as well. It is easily altered for a change of taste, as follows Crabby Apple Coleslaw Salad Substitute 2 medium chopped apples (or 2 C fresh or canned pineapple) and 1C chopped green peppers for peas and onions. Use any fruit vinegar in place of white vinegar.

 

Number of Servings: Since this is cabbage slaw the amounts varies as it sits and settles.
