Crabby Cups


Mini-crab cakes, wrapped with bacon and served in a filo dough shells-a great appetizer for your next party.



Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lump crabmeat
  • 1/2 tsp of Lawrey's seasoning sauce
  • cayenne pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup fine breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tbsp vermouth
  • 2 Tbsp chopped chives
  • 1 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 4 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 10 slices bacon, cut into thirds
  • 2 boxes mini filo dough shells
  • 1 cup ranch dressing, prepared
  • 4-6 drops of hot sauce
  • Pinch of Lawry's seasoning salt
  • 1 Tbsp dill weed dried
  • 1/4 tsp Tarragon dried

Method

Remove cartilage from crabmeat. Combine first 8 ingredients and mix thoroughly. Chill for 30 minutes. Roll into small balls that will fit into the mini filo dough shells. Wrap each ball with a piece of cut bacon. Place balls on a broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat source for 8-10 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Turn carefully and broil 4-5 minutes longer. Place 1 ball in each shell and drizzle with sauce. For sauce, stir last 5 ingredients together. Pass sauce with appetizers.
