This very easy, but elegant hot crab appetizer is made with purchased crescent roll dough, cream cheese and green onion.
Pre-heat oven according to crescent roll dough package. Mix crabmeat, green onions and cream cheese. Lay out crescent roll dough. Separate triangles. Spoon crab mixture onto center of triangle, amount should be about the size of two grapes. Pinch together all three edges of the triangle so it seals completely with seams at the top. Place on baking sheet. Repeat until all crescents are used. With a pastry brush, lightly coat the tops of all your pastries with the beaten egg. Sprinkle tops lightly with coarse salt. Bake according to crescent roll package directions. Let cool for ten minutes before serving.
Notes:
Kosher salt would work for the coarse salt.
