Creamy Guacomole

This blender guacamole combines avocados with sour cream, onion, garlic, cilantro, cumin and lime juice.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 Haas avocados, peeled, seeded and quartered
  • 1/3 c. sour cream
  • 1/4 c. red onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • Juice of one lime (about 2 tbsp)
  • 2 Tb fresh cilantro, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • For serving:
  • Tortilla chips

Method

Add all the ingredients (except chips) to the bowl of a food processor fitted with the blade attachment. Pulse for 15-30 seconds until well combined and creamy. Check for seasoning and salt and pepper to taste. Store in an airtight container, covering surface with plastic wrap, until ready to serve. Makes about 2 cups.

 

Notes: I like to serve this as an appetizer or as a accompaniment to Shrimp Chimichangas.
