Donna's Southern Maryland Blue's Hot Crab Dip

This hot, creamy crab dip is great served with crackers or crispy baguette slices.
Ingredients
- 16 oz Crab Meat (lump or backfin)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 12 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1 1/2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp hot sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp each salt & pepper
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

Method
Combine together all ingredients except crab meat and cheddar cheese, mix well. Then fold in crab meat and 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well. Divide into 6-7 oz ramkins. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, and return to oven for 5 minutes to melt cheese.
Notes: Serve with a loaf of french bread, warmed and sliced into 1/2" slices or with crackers. Any leftovers reheat great in a microwave.
