Festive Mini Cheese Balls

Cheddar cheese, cream cheese and cottage cheese are all combined with horseradish, sun-dried tomatoes and dry soup mix for a tasty cheese ball.
 

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup 2% cottage cheese
  • 1 tbsp horseradish mustard
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, cut up and softened
  • 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes not packed in oil
  • 1 0.9 oz package dry vegetable soup recipe mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh flat leaf parsley

Method

Put cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, mustard and cayenne in a food processor. Add cream cheese, tomatoes, and soup mix then process until blended. Transfer cheese mixture to a medium bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Sprinkle parsley on waxed paper. Divide cheese mixture into eight, and gently roll each mound into a ball, pressing parsley to adhere. If making ahead, cover and refrigerate until needed. Serve with bagel chips or favorite crackers.
