A food processor is used to make this mixture of pureed asparagus, walnuts and avocado, seasoned with chili powder, basil and lime.

  • Servings: 4-6


1 lb Fresh Asparagus
1 cup Walnuts
1 Tbsp Grated Lime Zest
2 Tbsp Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
¼ cup Chopped Fresh Basil
1 Tbsp Chili Powder
1 Ripe Avocado, peeled, pitted and cut up
¼ tsp Sea Salt
¼ tsp Freshly Ground White Pepper


Discard woody ends from asparagus; chop spears and blanch in water. Drain well. Combine in a food processor with remaining ingredients; process until smooth. Serve at room temperature or chilled, with desired crudites or vegetable dippers.
