Goat Cheese Toasts

Thin slices of French bread are brushed with garlic & oil, toasted, spread with soft goat cheese, and broiled until the cheese is bubbling.
 

Ingredients

  • One loaf French bread or baguette
  • 4 oz soft goat cheese, at room temperature
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme leaves

Method

Slice bread about 1/4-inch thick. Combine garlic and olive oil. Brush garlic oil onto bread slices and toast in a 375 oven until light golden. Spread goat cheese on toasted bread slices and broil for 30-60 seconds until cheese is bubbling. Sprinkle with thyme.

 

Notes: These easy savory cheese toasts are wonderful with cocktails.
