Crabmeat is combined with cream cheese, mayonnaise, onion and Old Bay seasoning to make this flavorful dip or spread that's topped with cheese and baked.

  • Servings: 8

3-oz Cream Cheese, softened
½ cup Mayonnaise
1 lb Crabmeat, drained and flaked
¼ cup Onion, minced
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
½ tsp Paprika
1 tsp Hot Pepper Sauce
¼ tsp Salt, or to taste
¼ tsp Pepper, or to taste
3 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning, or to taste
1 cup Shredded Cheese

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Stir in mayonnaise, crabmeat, onion, lemon juice, hot sauce, salt, pepper and Old Bay seasoning until well blended. Grease a small baking dish and spoon crab mixture into dish. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake 25-30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

Helpful Tips:

In Maryland we love our crabs, so anytime we cook with crab meat, we always use Old Bay seasoning to give it that burst of flavor. If you do not like spicy foods, you may use only 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning or even 1/2 tsp, if you perfer. If you must omit the Old Bay seasoning, be sure to keep the hot sauce.
