Three cheeses are combined to produce this appetizer dip--cream cheese, monterey jack, and cheddar. A jar of salsa, tomato, and green chilies add color and interest. Serve this dip with tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 24 oz. jar salsa (your choice as for hotness)
  • 1 8 oz. package shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1 8 oz. package shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 4 oz. jar chopped green chiles

Method

In a bowl, combine cream cheese and all other ingredients, except tortilla chips. Mix well. Turn into casserole. Bake in a 350 degree oven about 45 minutes or until bubbly, stirring once or twice. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes: This is a very easy recipe to make, and it is really delicious. Every time I make it for an occasion, I end up giving the recipe out to at least 5 more people!
