Italian Breaded Mushrooms

These Italian-seasoned mushrooms are fried in oil just before serving. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for extra flavor and serve with marinara sauce.
 

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 8-ounce package small Whole Mushrooms
  • 1 to 2 cups fine dry Italian Bread Crumbs
  • Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese

Method

In a medium bowl lightly beat eggs. Dip mushrooms in eggs. Place bread crumbs in a shallow dish. Add mushrooms to coat. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil (enough to where it will cover half of the mushrooms) and saute for about 3 minutes, until slightly brown; turn and saute the other side for about 3 minutes until slightly brown. Place on paper towels to absorb excess oil and sprinkle with Parmesan. Serve warm, and eat. You can also serve with Marina Sauce or Ranch Dressing for dipping.

 

Notes: This is an easy and delicious appetizer.
