These flaky pastry rolls are filled with cheese, olives, artichokes and nuts. Just spread the dough with the ingredients, roll up, slice and bake.

  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/3 cup Italian fine dry Bread Crumbs
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzeralla Cheese

Method

On a lightly floured surface roll out pastry dough until it is about a 1/8-inch thick square. Spread the Olive Oil over dough. Sprinkle the Italian Bread Crumbs over the dough, then sprinkle with Parmesan. Sprinkle with mozzarella, then artichokes, olives, and walnuts. Roll the pastry dough inward from opposite ends until they meet in the middle. You will have two side by side rolls. Cut down the middle so the rolls are separated. Wrap each roll in plastic wrap and place in the freezer for 30 minutes or until firm enough to slice. Slice each roll so each piece is about 1/4-inch thick. Arrange slices about 1/2-inch apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree F. oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown.
