Jessie's Guacamole De Riego De La Boca


Avocados are combined with garlic, chili powder, lemon or lime juice and a small amount of onion, cilantro and sour cream for this guacamole mixture that's served with tortilla chips for dipping.



Ingredients:

  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 1 large clove of garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp of minced red onion
  • 1/2 tsp of cilantro, fresh or dried
  • 1 tsp of sour cream
  • Sea Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Chili powder
  • Fresh or bottled lime or lemon juice, (no more than a tbsp)
  • Tortilla chips

Method

Halve, seed, and scoop out both avocados from their skins and put in a medium mixing bowl. Add in the garlic, onion, cilantro and sour cream; sprinkle with salt, pepper and chili powder. Stir all together making a creamy mixture (some lumps are ok) and then stir in the lemon or lime juice. You can save a sprig of cilantro for garnish. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes: If you hold onto one of the avocado seeds you can store it with any leftover guacamole - this prevents it from browning.
