Kettle Corn
Submitted by: deneetyler
Nothing beats a fresh batch of kettle corn with its sweet, slightly salty flavor.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
- 1/4 cup white sugar (for a popcorn ball taste) or brown sugar (for a more caramel like taste)
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- salt to taste

Method
Place a few kernels of popcorn in a large nonstick pot with 4 tablespoons vegetable oil. Over medium heat, begin to pop the popcorn. Add rest of popcorn and sugar when first kernels pop. Cover and constantly shake the pot to ensure that the popcorn kernels and oil do not burn. Once the popping has slowed, remove the pot from heat. Sprinkle with salt while still warm and enjoy.
Notes: If you have a Stir Crazy type popcorn popper, use that and this recipe will be as easy as pie.
