Mexican Layered Dip


Layers of seasoned ground beef, lettuce, tomatoes, and lots of cheese make this a hearty appetizer for your next Super Bowl party.



Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 pkg. dry taco seasoning mix
  • 1 16-oz. jar picante sauce
  • 1 16-oz. container dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce, finely chopped
  • 1 12-oz. pkg. finely shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 3 fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • 1 small can pitted green or black olives, sliced
  • Corn chips or tortilla chips

Method

Cook ground beef until browned; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix. Set aside. Mix picante sauce and sour cream; spread evenly on a large platter. Layer with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, ground beef mixture, green onions, and olives. Serve immediately with corn chips or tortilla chips.

Notes: Teens love this dip! So do most men!!
