Meatball in sauce on dollar roll

Ingredients:

Meatball
¾ Italian Bread Crumbs Reserve 1/4 Cup
⅓ cup Milk
¾lb Lean Ground Chuck
1 Sweet Italian Sausage Removed From Casting
1 Hot Italian Sausage Removed From Casting
1 Tbsp Oregano
1 tsp Basil
½ tsp Italian Dry Salad Dressing Mix
⅛ tsp Pepper
¼ tsp Salt
1 Small Onion Diced Finely
2 cloves Garlic Minced
Sauce
1 jar Spaghetti Sauce
1 can Petite Tomato Italian
½ tsp Dry Oregano
¼ tsp Dry Basil
2 cloves Garlic Minced
1 Small Onion Finely Diced
1 tsp Olive Oil
Garlic Butter
3 Tbsp Butter
¼ tsp Garlic Powder
¼tsp Oregano
⅛ tsp Basil
Sprinkling of Onion Salt
Fresh Ground Pepper, to taste
10 Dollar Rolls White & Wheat
1½ oz Grated Mozzarella Cheese
5 Pepperoni Peppers, hot or mild

Directions:

Meatball

Preheat oven 375 degrees

Place 1/2 cup crumbs in bowl add milk, mix it together allow sit. Take remaining ingredients place in large bowl and lightly mix together. Take the soaked crumbs add to meat mixture and thoroughly mix it together till combined don't over mix. Divide in 15 equal parts and form meatballs. Then roll them in remaining 1/4 cup of crumbs. Place the meatball on wire rack that fits inside a sheet pan and bake 20 to 25 minutes till golden brown. Add meatball to sauce once out oven.

Sauce

Start Sauce as put meatballs in oven. Place the olive oil in 5 quart pot over medium heat till oil shimmers then add onion and garlic saute for 2 minutes stirring it. Add dry spices for 15 seconds stirring it, followed by sauce and tomato stir thoroughly. Cook sauce for 1 hour on low simmer till meatball center reads 165 degrees on cooking thermometer

Rolls

Preheat oven 350 degrees

Mix the 6 ingredients together thoroughly. Take knife cut at angle making pocket down into each roll. Take tops of each bun and remove pointed piece making it flat. Take butter mixture and lightly spread inside of each roll and top of each roll till all are coated. Bake them for 5 to 7 minutes. As remove from oven place small amount cheese in bottom of each bun. Then top each bottom bun with meatball followed by cheese and bun tops. Place mini meatball bomber on serving platter and 5 remaining meatballs topped with pepperoni peppers. Enjoy !!!
