Garlic, mashed potatoes, and breadcrumbs make a creamy base for this dip. The addition of lemon juice, nuts, and capers add great Greek flavors.

  • Servings: 6-8


1 cup Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs
2 Tbsp Water
4 Garlic Cloves
⅓ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
¼ cup Capers, drained and rinsed
3 Tbsp Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
⅓ cup Blanched Whole Almonds
⅓ cup Walnuts
1 Medium Potato, cooked and mashed
Freshly Ground White Pepper
Coarse Sea Salt, to taste


Place bread crumbs, water and garlic in food processor then process until a smooth paste. With motor running, add oil slowly. Add 3 tablespoons capers and lemon juice. Add almonds and walnuts then pulse until coarsely ground. Place mixture into a medium container and fold in mashed potato. Season with pepper and add salt, if needed. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Before serving, sprinkle with remaining capers.
