Homemade cheese fingers were never more easy to prepare. Monterey Jack slices are breaded and baked until crispy and melty. What a treat for any spread.

  • Servings: 6

Ingredients:

1 lb Monterey Jack Cheese, sliced into 3" lengths of 1" thickness each
1 Egg, beaten
1 cup Plain Bread Crumbs
1 Tbsp Chili Powder
1 tsp Ground Cumin
1 Tbsp Minced Fresh Cilantro
Prepared Salsa & Guacamole, for dipping
Cilantro Sprigs, for garnish

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly coat baking sheet with cooking spray.

Blend bread crumbs and seasonings in a small bowl. Dip cheese fingers into beaten egg, then into bread crumb mix. Place cheese fingers on baking sheet. Bake 4 minutes, or until fingers are golden and cheese is heated through and softened. Serve with bowls of prepared salsa and guacamole for dipping. Garnish with fresh cilantro sprigs.
