These chicken wings are baked until tender in a sweet peach flavored sauce with just a hint of spice from the hot sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh firm peaches, sliced
  • 1 bottle Catalina salad dressing
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 bag frozen wings, thawed

Method

Coat a 9 x 12 foil pan with a nonstick, grill safe spray. Place defrosted wings in pan. Mix all other ingredients in a bowl and pour over wings. Cover with foil. Place on a medium hot grill for 1 hour. Check on progress every 20 minutes, making sure wings are not sticking to pan, but not stirring. Remove cover for last 20 minutes and let sauce reduce. Meat should be so tender it is falling off the bone.

Notes: I generally use a spatula to check on the wings, but they usually don't start to stick until the cover comes off to reduce the sauce. I like a little black on one side of my wings so I generally let it go, but you could reduce it to a lower heat and take longer for the reduction to avoid this. Also the hot sauce is so diluted by the other ingredients that this is not a hot wing recipe. The hot sauce just adds a depth to the sweetness.
