These appetizers are so impressive looking and tasting. Try serving these for any occasion.
Preheat oven 400 degrees.
Remove stems of mushrooms and scrape off brown underside. Heat oil in saucepan and add onion and garlic, saute until onions are tender. Add crabmeat, cheeses, tarragon, and breadcrumbs and stuff each mushroom generously. Melt 3 tbsp butter with the wine and brush the mixture over the mushrooms and place in refrigerator.
Melt 1 tbsp of butter and lay a sheet of phyllo dough on a board and brush it with butter. Make 4 layers of phyllo and cut into 8 squares. Place a stuffed mushroom on each square. Close the phyllo as a purse or packet and place on a cookie sheet. These can be prepared several hours ahead. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for about 10-12 minutes, just until golden.
