Potato a la Cheese

Potatoes smothered with cheese and onions. This side dish is great with steak, chicken, or pork.
 

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs potatoes
  • 2 lb shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large raw white onion, sliced in strips
  • Pepper

Method

Peel the potatoes and boil them in water. When they are soft, drain them and cut them in half. Place the potatoes on a serve in dish and top them with the onions and cheese. When the cheese has melted, sprinkle the potatoes with pepper and dig in.
