Queso Carne Dip

A hot, cheesy dip with ground beef and tomatoes--serve with tortilla or corn chips.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Velveeta, cubed
  • 8 oz Monterey Jack cheese with jalapenos, cubed
  • 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles
  • 2 lbs ground chuck
  • 2 tsp garlic powder

Method

Brown beef in a 12 inch skillet and drain. Return to skillet, add cheeses, tomatoes and garlic powder. Over medium heat, stirring constantly, melt cheese. When completely melted, turn to low.

 

Notes: Can also be cooked and served in a slow cooker. We have been known to eat this as a main course as well.
