Low fat cream cheese and sour cream are combined with a hearty amount of perfectly seasoned and sauteed onions making this a very flavorful dip.

  • Servings: 8-10

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 cup Finely Chopped Onion
½ tsp Soy Sauce
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Pepper
dash Hot Pepper Sauce
1× 8 oz pkg Block Reduced Fat Cream Cheese, softened
½ cup Reduced Fat Sour Cream
½ cup Thinly Sliced Green Onion, tops included

Directions:

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion, soy sauce, salt, pepper and hot sauce. Cook, stirring frequently, for 8 minutes or until onion is soft, but not brown. Let cool completely. In a mixer bowl, combine cream cheese and sour cream until combined. Mix in onion mixture and green onion. Scrape into a serving bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes to blend flavors, or up to 2 days ahead. Makes about 2 cups. Serve with chips or raw vegetables. Before serving, sprinkle top of dip with additional sliced green onion tops, if desired.
