Rye Bread Snacks

This easy but tasty appetizer will be a hit at your next party. Simply mix a few ingredients, spread on cocktail ryes, and bake for 10 minutes.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bacon, fried, then cut into pieces
  • 1 large sized can of mushrooms, pieces and stems, drained
  • 6-8 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
  • 6-8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2/3 cup mayonaise
  • 1 loaf of party cocktail rye bread

Method

Fry the bacon in a frying pan until crisp then drain. Place on plate to cool. In large bowl, add shredded Swiss cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, mushrooms, mayonaise and bacon. Stir together. Spread mixture on small rye breads. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, or until cheeses are melted.

 

Notes: Anytime I bring these appetizers any where, everyone wants the recipe. Plus they are easy to make.
