Spicy Bean Dip

This dip is great with chips or crackers and is also good as a sandwich spread.
 

Ingredients

  • 14 oz can of spicy chili beans
  • 1/2 medium white onion, diced small
  • 4 oz sour cream, nonfat or lite
  • 1 cup sharp shredded cheese
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder to your taste
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Lightly drain beans keeping some liquid for flavor. Mash the beans with a fork or potato masher in a medium size bowl with a lid. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for one hour.
