These poppers are stuffed with a combination of cream cheese, Monterey Jack, sharp white cheddar and blue cheese. What a tasty start to a meal.

  • Servings: 2 dozen poppers


1× 8 oz pkg Cream Cheese, softened
4 oz cup Shredded Extra Sharp White Cheddar Cheese
1½ cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
½ cup Blue Cheese, crumbled
6 Strips Bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
¼ tsp Salt
¼ tsp Garlic Powder
¼ tsp Onion Powder
¼ tsp Chili Powder
¼ tsp Fresh Grated Lemon Zest
1 lb Fresh Jalapeno Peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
½ cup Panko Breadcrumbs
Sour Cream or Ranch Dressing, for dipping


In a large mixing bowl, combine cheeses, bacon, seasonings and lemon zest then mix well. Spoon about 2 tbsp into each pepper half and roll in breadcrumbs. Place in a greased 15 X 10 dish and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, 30 minutes for a less spicy pepper. Serve with sour cream or ranch dressing.
