Superior Shrooms

Large mushrooms are filled with a cream cheese and onion mixture, then topped with a piece of cooked bacon and mozzarella cheese before broiling.
Ingredients
- Large white mushrooms
- Chopped garlic
- Olive oil
- Cream cheese, softened
- Chives, chopped
- White onion, finely chopped
- Crisp-cooked bacon
- Mozzarella cheese

Method
Wash mushrooms; and remove stems. Saute' mushrooms in olive oil and garlic until softened. Remove from pan and place upside down on paper towels to drain. Mix softened cream cheese with chopped chives and onion. Place mushrooms on foil-lined cookie sheet. Fill mushrooms with cream cheese mixture. Place a piece of cooked bacon about the size of the mushroom on top of the cream cheese, then place a slice of mozzarella cheese over the bacon. Place 4- to 6" from broiler until cheese has melted and is a light brown. Serve immediately. Caution! Filling will be hot.
Notes: Amount of ingredients has been left off because it depends on how many mushrooms you want to make.
Number of Servings: As many as you want.
