Sushi Rice

Use this sweetened rice mixture to fill sushi rolls along with your favorite ingredients.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw rice
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt

Method

Steam the rice using a rice steamer, if available, following steamer directions. Combine the rice vinegar, sugar and salt over medium heat until clear - allow to cool. Remove rice from steamer when complete, allow to cool to simply "warm," then gently fold in vinegar mixture. Use warm rice within 45 to 60 minutes.

 

Notes: Produces enough rice for approximately 4 rolls
