Sweet Mussels

Mussels are baked for an hour in a mixture of 1 cup of butter and 1 cup of oil, with brown sugar, vinegar, dill weed, and soy sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh mussels
- 2 sticks butter (1 cup)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp dried dill weed
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce

Method
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Put oil in a large casserole dish with lid. Add mussels. Dump all ingredients on top. Bake 20 min. then stir. Bake 40 minutes more, but stir every 10 minutes to mix flavor. Serve hot. If desired, serve with additional soy sauce for dipping.
