Taco Appetizer
This layered dip features a mixture of cream cheese, sour cream and taco seasoning mix on the bottom, topped with taco sauce, shredded cheese and lettuce.
Ingredients
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 1 8-oz. container sour cream
- 1 8-oz. package cream cheese (softened)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package shredded lettuce
- 1 8-oz. jar taco sauce (medium)
- Optional items: jalapeno peppers, black (ripe) olives, green chilies

Method
Mix together the sour cream, cream cheese and taco seasoning mix until smooth. Spread onto a dish 1/4-inch thick. Spread onto this the taco sauce, shredded cheese and shredded lettuce. You can top with a few sliced jalape?o peppers, black olives, and green chilies. Dip with tortilla chips or any dipping chips
Notes: You can use the Mexican-blend cheese.
