Wild Meatballs


Pork sausage, hamburger and turkey meatballs basted with a sweet and spicy marinade.



Ingredients:

  • 1 lb sausage
  • 1 lb hamburger meat
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3/4 cup apple jelly
  • 1/2 spicy brown mustard
  • Dash or two of tabasco sause
  • 1/4 cup Jack Daniel's whiskey

Method

FOR MEATBALLS: Mix together meat, egg and bread crumbs with the onion that has been well chopped. Use an ice cream scioop sprayed with PAM to form the meatballs. Place on ungreased pan and cook at 350 degrees about 20 minutes or until brown and done. While meatballs are cooking, mix the apple jelly, whiskey and mustard together and baste on the meatballs just before they are done baking. Heat the remaining sauce and serve as a dip with the meatballs.
